Gonna dump an excerpt from a fanfic I’m writing that I think fits the vibe of the thread. (For reference, the two humans in the scene are both Fallers who were taken from their home worlds and placed in the story’s world because of an Ultra Storm
Think Space-Time Distortion but with Ultra Wormholes instead)
The little seven year old girl named Rylee appeared with a smile, but her eyes seemed a bit watery like she'd been crying. "Hey Mr. Ian. Do I get to meet your Impidimp today?" Rylee asked.
Ian knelt down and waited for the door to shut. "Not today, but I have someone else I want you to meet."
"Who?" Rylee asked.
"Well, I met them in an Ultra Storm, just like I met you," Ian explained.
"Like when you and Sawsbuck fought the giant lobster?" Rylee asked in surprise.
"Like that," Ian said as he put the memory of fighting the Alpha Crawdaunt aside and pulled a shrunken Poke Ball from his pocket.
"Wait, am I getting a Pokemon?" Rylee asked excitedly.
Ian nodded. "Yes, but I want to make sure you two get along first-"
"I'll do anything Mr. Ian!" Rylee said. "Please, please, please, pleeeease?"
Ian couldn't help but laugh. "You two gotta promise to be extra nice to Ms. Sarah okay? And you can't have it out during class."
"I promise!" Rylee declared.
"Okay," Ian said as he handed the Poke Ball to her. She hesitantly tapped the button at the center of Poke Ball, opening it up and manifesting a cute, electric rodent. "It's a-"
"Plusle!" Rylee cheered, eyes watering with happy tears.
The electric rodent manifested facing Rylee and seemed rather alarmed at the frantic young girl, but once Plusle sensed it was safe, it relaxed a bit.
"Can I touch it?" Rylee asked.
"Careful," Ian said. "This little one just got out of an Ultra Storm."
