>>58477266That's exactly the point I'm making. They've continuously made efforts to cater to compfags, but it's never enough (and hell, the majority of them say cheating is ethical because of it).

And I highly doubt they'll stop whining if they get a rusty bottle cap. Then they'll complain that they need to grind for items at which point we have people complaining about having to play the game. Heck I've already seen people complaining about having to play other games to get the pokemon in them.
It's the biggest reason I hope champions does well, just so I don't have to hear about professional cockfighters complaining about this stuff in future games.
