>>58475512What business would ever think of this though? If they make the perfect game, then I'm gonna wanna see that perfect gameplay incorporated in many other Pokemon regions. I wouldn't just buy the perfect game that happens to be set in Johto and go, "Oh, I'm good, I never need to play Pokemon again". No, a fan is gonna go, "Holy shit, this is great! I hope they do it for Unova next!" or whatever.
Also, they can continue to add new features. Maybe in this game, you get to interact a lot more with your following Pokemon and even ride them. And then in this game, we add a lot more dungeons and ways to explore alongside using your Pokemon's capabilities. And then in this game, we include all of that stuff but we also increase customization: You can add effects to your Pokeballs, put stickers on them, maybe some clothing options for Pokemon-- general stuff like a ribbons that work for everyone and then special dress models for Clefairy or Pikachu, whatever.
I just don't understand why they do things like program in Amie and Following Pokemon then haphazardly remove and incorporate it at will. Like, come on, really? A game where your friend is constantly talking about cooking and I'm not allowed to go into the hotel's kitchen and cook up food for my Pokemon? They can't join me in cooking and different types of moves will affect the outcome? I can cook in SwSh and SV, but I guess if we put it here too, people are less likely to buy the next one!
It doesn't make developer or business sense.
