Charizard is 5'7, Rhydon is 6'3", Snorlax is 6'11", Kangaskhan is 7'3", Feraligatr is 7'7" tall. But what if he got huger? What if his mega dex entry was like "the mega energy combined with latent dragon energy has caused Mega Feraligatr to go atomic!" Make him twice as big, huge arms and a fat long tail, maybe the spikes on his back split? There is a reason he has such tall protruding backplates.
You could even give him a new signature move where he does a double flying drop-kick. It could have been rad.
