Living forever is a curse to not just to the individuals but the world itself as the land starves of nutrition.
Especially when the immortal life one is cursed to live in is an agonizing one bereft of any comforts or pleasure. That is literally the definition of the Christian Hell.
AZ and Lysandre are both visibly fucked by the pain of their immortality. A body that can't autophage its senescent cells would be agonizing. And given that Pokemon become rogue megas from the same energy, which are expressly berserk from the constant excruciating pain, it's not hard to imagine the situation for a pokemon would be even worse.
If anything, I'm surprised at how well Floette is handling its situation. I'm guessing it used so much to just come back to life that it's not painfully overcharged.
