Actually evil to finally give the Kalos starters the megas they deserved just to do this bullshit. They could have locked a few old megas instead. Just make it pseudo megas so people will actually want to grind for it

It is bullshit but it made me check out online battles which I usually don't do and they were surprisingly fun. Also it takes like half an hour to reach the required rank.

Think it'll be obtainable via the DLC? I think Sun and Moon had a bunch of Mega Stones only available via participating in Battle Spot seasons, but none of those were brand new, you could trade with someone to obtain them, and USUM had all of them available within the base game. Not to mention that there wasn't a subscription service to even connect to the Internet on the console.

It's more of an issue for people playing on launch because Delphox and Chesnaught can't mega evolve for weeks and we know the stones will be redistributed later
