>>58509607Platinum is the definitive version of Gen 4, the only things you’ll be really missing out on are some version exclusives (Murkrow, Misdreavus, Stunky and Glameow lines). Otherwise, the game literally runs faster, has better Pokémon distribution (more than half of the past Pokémon that got new evos were postgame or transfer only in DP for no reason), a better difficulty curve, an expanded story, and the entire Battle Frontier in postgame. You should also check out HeartGold/SoulSilver, the Gen 2 remakes that released after Platinum.
