>>58195460honestly surprised they went with ghost/grass for it instead of ghost/fire. If I were to do it, I'd have it be an alt method of evolution for Litwick. Certain "berries" in whatever region have faces carved into them, and people would put candles in them. Then someone got a litwick and put it in there, silly magic pokemon excuse here, it evolves into Lit-o-tern or whatever name and becomes fire/grass instead of fire/ghost. Something something the berry has life energy and fulfills all of litwick's needs of succing the life energy out something something evolutionary energy. Then it can just level up again to get an equivalent final stage where it promotes the growth of more of the berries, fully commiting to the life energy angle. Would be especially lore-friendly because you could give it various berry-related abilities, which would be reminiscent of candy or something. There's a lot of options there.
