Dunno if that was actually GF's intend to portray how genocide deniers think, but judging how their games are designed for brainless retards, they're more likely to send the message that extremists are le misunderstood good guys instead the other way around (not that it really matters, considering the simping for other criminal and questionable groups).
Basically, the more you think about any logical lore implications, the more fucked up this game and generally the modern pokéworld becomes. It's kinda funny how that makes Lysandre's doomsday plan look more and more reasonable.
