If they allocate the stats properly, it could be okay. I doubt it will get faster, but I could see them trolling a bit and giving it +10 or +20 attack, but if the rest of it goes into the defenses it's fine.

Yeah but that doesn't help it in games without Megas, it just sucks with or without Fairy. All getting a Mega did was doom it to never evolve.
