This interpretation is better, is it concept art from terraleak? I wishh they went with this. Giving his bottom half more definition and making his face more angular instead of rounded makes such a big difference. Like it makes sense for his bottom half to have a "mounted cannon" look, unironically makes the cannon more intimidating since you can logically put together it has force behind its shots.
Also notice how the top lip of his shell is actually cutting away to make room for the cannon instead of the other way around. It makes the cannon feel more like a pea shooter than a fucking missile launcher.
Overall Blastoise's mega isn't terrible just feels like they missed the mark slightly.
