I don’t get it, who care if SwSh was subpar, look at how good ZA is compared to XY. Legends being a redemption for subpar entries in the series is a good thing.

Reminder Game Freak like to be unpredictable, which is why they distributed Arceus instead of running its event item. Given we know THEY know we know what they've planned, but strangely haven't yet reached trigger points for starting development (that'll be next year), it's a bit hopeful expecting them to continue as predicted.

There was no art or concept of Legends Johto besides a vague “it will be set in this period”. We have full game design and concept art of Legends Galar and ZA has like a million references to specifically Galar for no reason. Even PLA has a ton of references to Galar.

The switch games mog the older games in terms of content and fun though. SwSh + DLC, PLA, ZA, and SV + DLC are great games.
