I wish Gamefreak was cool and let us keep stuff like this in Pokémon HOME. Mosslax is a peak comfymon, sucks it will be stuck in Pokopia.

Why introduce new regional forms in a side spinoff?

That’s what i’d do for every spin off if i was in charge, it’s 2025 if gamefreak was competent they could make every spin off game give you a special pokemon for having a completed save file on your switch, all it would take would be small updates to home and the mainline games

It's just a Snorlax that's been asleep for so long that moss grew on it. No different from how Professor Tangrowth isn't a form, he's just an elderly Tangrowth whose vines have dulled and greyed with age.

nta but the trailer does say "how long has this Snorlax been asleep!?", and this is combined with the fact that the island's clearly been untouched for a long time with the ruined buildings and pathways alongside mentions of Professor Tangrowth being alone for a long time. It might legitimately be a case where it was zonked out so long that it ended up mutating because of it.

With how lazy some evolutions and Megas have been lately, Smearguru could absolutely worked as an actual evo or Mega and I wouldn't be shocked if it was a scrapped Mega for ZA repurposed into an actual "character"

Smearguru literally doesn't change at all, even the laziest evos and Megas change somewhat. Smearguru literally just painted himself to look different.

Plus giving Smeargle an evo or Mega would defeat the entire point of Smeargle, that's in absolutely terrible Pokemon that can learn almost any move in the game

I’d be much more inclined to buy this game if I was able to keep the new cool forms from it. No other reason for me to play a pokemon spinoff desu.

Mainline games getting cool stuff like this has no downsides, it’s like complaining about getting Blood Moon Ursaluna or Eternal Floette
