I really wish they'd give the older Pikaclones some evolutionary relatives. I do wonder if we'll get a trio of PikaClones in a generation for the Grass-Fire-Water set (sort of akin to how the elemental monkeys function).

Mimikyu would be great if it didn't just mimic pikachu, but also other popular pokemon, and it had different moves depending on what it was mimicking, but then it wouldn't be a pikachu clone.

That was 11 years ago. That's Pachirisu's claim to fame. Every other pikaclone has a gimmick "electric rodent, but X" but not Pachirisu he is just "also electric rodent"

The only pikaclones with gimmicks are pulse/minun and morpeko. A secondary typing is not gimmick. That's like saying pachi can be stands out because it has pickup so it can get rare items. And the hoenn clones dont even have their gimmicks anymore not that it was even used in the first place.
