>>58624777This board is nowhere near mature enough to talk about it in earnest but Pokemon evolving and not liking their new bodies/not evolving into something they expected is a genuinely interesting concept that's the logical endpoint of Pokemon both being more intelligent than actual animals and their existence being intertwined with humans. The anime has touched upon this a few times but both times the execution was less than desirable (Ash's Grotle becoming less agile as Torterra and having to adjust to it's new body and find a new fighting style, Goh's Sobble evolving into Drizzile rather than Inteleon like it expected and becoming depressed because of it) so I'd love to see maybe a miniseries or even one-off short tackle it because I'm sure it'd at least be able to be explored in a more interesting way there.
