used to have this one gay dude in my friend circle, he was a super nice dude, but he was very closeted. we all knew he was gay, he wasn't hiding it from us or anything just from his family, you know how it is.
eventually he "came out" to people IRL, and after that his personality flipped dramatically and he started making everything about how gay he is and constantly talking about it. we all kinda stopped hanging out with him after a while because he just ended up being insufferable.
it's a real shame, i don't know what causes people to act like that.

this is it exactly. he rushed the game out to ride on the high of praise he got with Seaglass, has no intention of putting in any more work to smooth it out, and is using this as an excuse to withdraw and abandon it. that's why he snuck in the criticisms about the music, which are legitimate. and note the "I worked on this game for over a year", like that's supposed to be a big deal when most romhacks are in development for several years, and there's a reason for that, because otherwise you get unpolished messes like this. I wouldn't even be surprised if he slapped trans shit all over the game to manufacture a response like this, knowing he didn't have it in him to finish the game.
