are you surprised? Gen 5 almost killed the franchise. Nobody gives a shit about gen 5 except for a small amount of retards. There's a reason why it's the lowest selling main game, why gamefreak don't want to remake it, and why the franchise has chased nostalgia ever since it came out. Gamefreak should just nuke gen 5 and every crappy gen 5 pokemon design at this point, because they're all shit and no one likes it. Gen 5 is the equivalent of the star wars prequels

The best part is that this forever destroys the cope narrative that Emboar only flopped the first time because of Fire/Fighting fatigue. In all the years since we've only gotten a single Pokemon with that type combination and it's a form of Paldean Tauros no one cared about. Yet still no one wanted Emboar despite it's type combination being very uncommon nowadays.

fire/fighting fatigue was real but ultimately, it comes down to if it was well executed or not. It was already getting old when infernape had the same typing but it was executed well with clear origins, no one could really argue against it. Instead of coping the same idea and the same typing emboar should've been a massive boar with huge tusks. After all these years we still don't have a cool pigmon and I'm getting tired of waiting

They are the TWO branches of placental mammals. A win's a win in this situation. Emboar was already considered the least popular starter of all time and the few Emboarfags were already aware of this. So, it having the most consistently voted mega of the trio, even with the heavy anti-bias against it, is impressive.
