Because all the other gen 5 pokemon were relatively new, plus, Audino was designed by Saya Tsuruta, who made Goomy and Goodra too. The person who made Goodra got to have 1 mega pokémon of her own, that's all.

I would say "merch sales cutemon" but this is the only official plushie they ever made of it, it has no full plushie. Gamefreak really just kinda said "ok Saya you can have a mega" and then hyperfocused on Mega Lucario, Mega Gengar, Mega Gardevoir, etc. etc.

It feels very intentional that they let M-Audino get neglected.

I am not spoonfeeding you and yes, anon, 5 is the number that comes before 6. Gen 5 was the previous gen before gen 6, which is why they didn't reuse much of it as opposed to using megas to highlight older pokemon.

We do know? The leaks were clear, New York (gen 5) had a bad reception in the west so the pokemon from it so they wanted to reduce it's influence on Beauty (Gen 6)
I bet a lot of the designs from ZA were planned from the start anyway.

They made Mega Emboar all this time later and Tepig is still an unpopular choice.
