In retrospect being able to become the target of jokes and criticisms is somewhat of a compliment because it showed the fanbase was asking "why are you doing this?!" to the person who made the franchise they enjoyed, but in reality he wasn't the one ruining things and discourse ramped up when he was banned from being involved. Then they made sure to mention his name as much as possible when talking about BDSP so the public would think that's all he's capable of now when really it was a setup to smear his name with a planned dumpsterfire. They sabotaged the beloved Sinnoh remake ship with no survivors after everyone waited 15 years for it to come to port. Well, it did port, because all we got was a port.

Nope, the pacing in the latter part of the game is still slower than BW which has literally only a single route between each gym the entire game.

Dude, who the fuck cares about story in a pokemon game?
BW had lacking post game and BW2 felt like the definitive gen 5 game.
The same could be made with XY, more moments for some characters that do fucking nothing like the assistant couple, areas that you just look over being properly explored, more sky battles, more to south kalos, more to the east kalos routes which are fucking dry compared to west kalos.
Furthermore, just taking all the innovations of ORAS and adding them to a Kalos game would be amazing, I wouldn't even mind if it was the same fucking story, I like Gen 6 gameplay and the setting and wanted more of it.

Everyone at Pokemon sucks though.
Tajiri was an incompetent buffoon who only got lucky his first time, and then as soon as he realized lightning doesn't strike twice, he completely bailed like the manchild he is and forced the rest of GameFreak to deal with it.
Masuda was a control freak who got too cocky, and then paid the price come the DS-3DS transition when Pokemon's vulnerabilities made it unpopular in the west AND made jap kids think it was a "franchise for old fogeys", hence Yokai Watch's surging popularity that put GameFreak into pure panic mode.
Ohmori's a one trick pony who keeps playing his same set of cards every three/four years and expects us to clap and cheer like it's something new and groundbreaking to have YET ANOTHER story that's only happening because of NPC family drama based on his own traumatic childhood.
Sugimori literally doesn't even like Pokemon anymore and would rather keep making shit designs out of spite than actually just remove himself from their development.
Morimoto focuses on style over substance, which is why Emerald and HGSS weren't as fantastic as they could've been, despite all the efforts to cram them full of shit.
The rest, there's simply not enough to have a good picture on them beyond the GameFreak standard of being chaotic fucks who have no incentive to genuinely improve their craft because they've been hard carried by Pokemon's unfathomable success for nearly 30 years straight.

4 doors with huge unique structures in the background, telling you they can't be opened.
The doors are present in very early maps as placeholder blocks, there's extensive concept art of the plants and there's a bunch of detail in the final maps that's not even visible ingame

some of these are valid, they were surely meaning to make a definitive version in Z that got scrapped to start on gen 7 instead.
the wide variety of pokemon available rather than just 100% eye-bleedingly bad new designs like BW was one of the games better aspects though.
