If you had a completed copy of Red, all you had to do was
>Trade up Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Omastar, Kabutops, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and maybe Mew if you had it>Clone them, which was known about back then, and trade them back if you still want them in your completed Red>Breed the first five Pokémon for their eggs and hatch them>Evolve Bulbasaur, Charmander, and SquirtleYou could have done this in under a couple of hours
Hell, you could have added Arcanine/Ninetales (skipping the need for a Fire Stone, but once again, you have the cloning glitch) and Primeape/Persian (probably easier for a Mankey/Meowth, depends on the version you're trading to) to cut down on some more version exclusives.
