I mean, I understand Lance and Morty having very few options in Johto, but choosing an Onix on your E4 team, not even a Steelix to compensate, is ridiculous.

The thing is that Bruno is a kanto E4 not a johto one. Johto E4's are Will and Karen. Bruno's thing has always been using hitmons and machamp so I think this team works fairly well. It's nice that they gave him the new hitmon to continue his gimmick.

They did a good job with Lance too imo. People like to meme about 3 Dragonites but without an ice move they're quite hard to kill and can dish out some good damage

3 of the same pokemon is a bit lame but at the end of the day when the pokemon in question is a pseudo putting 3 of it on one team does make it a challenge if youre unprepared

In general, you'll probably have trouble with them if you can't ouspeed them with an Ice move (unless you're overleveled, of course), and even if you can, it has to be powerful enough for a OHKO
