There’s an insane amount of mischaracterization of him from the groups that ‘like’ him. He has more of a dorky teenager trying to be cool (how he throws pokeballs, whining about getting embarrassed in front of L, stuff like that) than the dark and serious mob boss he gets portrayed as being. And least the fans online are doing it in good faith rather than 90% of the pokegirl threads here
