There was nothing to sabotage, Masuda only made BDSP in 3 weeks with a literally who dev studio because Game Freak didn't want to actually make a remake. There was no world where BDSP would have been good under the circumstances it was made

As horrific as SV was, it at least had more than one town, didn't remove moves, abilities or held items, and had things to do that weren't a Farmville-tier checklist of busywork.
The only thing legendary about "Legends" is the amount of extra corners GF gets away with cutting just by slapping that name on the box.
