I wonder how they'll handle Meowstic, they're effectively two different Pokemon in all but stats.
And we won't even know what ability or abilities they'll till Champions.

according to leaks and datamine meowstic will have one combined mega design, while the three flavored tatsugiri will have unique mega designs for each of the three forms

One mega shared by both genders*
There was no confirmation about having the same design, base Pyroar for example is internally only one Pokémon despite having two different designs.
