the other link in the OP lets you just outright rank your favourites. i do agree this one can be kinda weird (i have ones on mine that i dont even really like, theyre just the mon of that type from that gen that i dislike least), but i guess thats the nature of going by region/type

I’ve used Melmetal through two playthroughs of Unbound and one of Rad Red and it is just so consistently great and is very reliable. He’s useful in nearly every fight. Iron Fist + Double Iron Bash is excellent, even does pretty good damage against mons that resist it. Also has great coverage on top of that

Also Steel typing is excellent defensively, and he’s bulky as hell (especially with an Assault Vest). Also very versatile, can be a sweeper, a wall, or a wall breaker.
