Played SS on my 3DS after finishing White on emulator and god is that shit slow. Encounters are the worst part of it.

I'll never understand the people that fast forward Pokémon games. The whole point of the game is that it's a slow-as-fuck journey that builds your bond towards your Pokémon. Without that, you're just playing some of the shittiest RPGs in existence.

Yeah sorry, can't relate. The only times I've ever had to grind were during nuzlockes. In a normal playthrough I usually either swap train it through 10 minutes worth of trainers or give it 20 minutes of Exp. Share and then I just throw it into the fray.

I speed up to grind or find that rare catch. Besides, I won't haggle for a (now) overpriced game and handheld console, pray to the Omnisiah that both work, and spend the rest of my money on batteries.
