Lucario got spikes around their bodies while mega Lucario got black streaks (read skin) all over its body. They're pretty different and other alt megas already take design cues from Pokemon related to them like Raichu, Mewtwo, and Charizard. Alternatively, it could radically different and get a new type.

mono types are inherently less shillable than dual types
the only exmapls of a Pokemon going from dual type to mono type are gloom to bellosum (because bellosum was made as a joke) and Aggron mega evolving (because Rock is so shit as a type that Game Freak had to remove it Mega Aggron to have any value at all)

Same stats as mega lucario except Attack is much lower and Special Attack and Speed stats are much higher. Ability changes to Aura Burst (boosts the power of moves that don't make contact by 30%). There's a Z-shaped fur pattern on its chest.
