Can this actually be good? If they minmax its speed and attack harder and add a bit to its bulk it could be a decent fast attacker.

It's already rather minmaxed as is. Unless they go full retard and decide to take away speed and make it bulky, not much can really go terribly wrong. I expect this to basically be the physical pidgeot but better.

They seem to like making the new megas do something completely different from the normal mon, so it is entirely plausible that it'll be something weird like '160 special defense special tank' Staraptor or something.

Feels like the +100 stat boost Megas get aren't enough anymore compared to the cracked shit they make with new Pokemon or evolutions.
