I feel the same but from Pokémon Red that I got for a birthday present from my mom when I was a little kid and before I got hit with depression and life got difficult as well as strained family relationships

So this game I had was a memory of simpler days. I gave it away to my cousin at another country but now I have sentimental feelings. If I can, I'd like to see if I can get it back. If it's gone then there's not much to do

This is partly why, it's memories of an easier and simpler time. When I was more free. I havent played them in ages but I still regret selling them. I've sold other games and it didn't have the same value though because I didn't care about them.

Yes them going over time helps. If there was a way for you to play for online and be able to trade and do everything with it maybe I would'nt be as bothered but that involves Nintendo being actually competent
