That the majority of the anime fanbase was so quick to change their tone after the win in the finals (After the online shitstorm, the complaints, the harassment and death threats towards a single animation director) solidified a lot of my issues I had with the scene of the 25 seasons. They flatout don't care about any "buildup", it's just calling anything that looks good on paper a win.
