Not quite Bayonetta dodging, but you can pull out from a lot of moves and not take damage if you know the exacts and use a speedster like Xerneas.
High movement speed means physical attackers will struggle to land a hit without a move that teleports the user onto the opponent, and ranged attackers will struggle to land a hit unless they leave themselves wide open while waiting for the target to stop moving because it needs to execute a move.
Lucario Z is probably going to be an even bigger cunt to deal with because it'll not only have high movement speed but also fundamentally executes moves faster, meaning it has less downtime to be vulnerable unless you direct targeted moves against it.
But back to Xerneas, even with all the known returning mons thanks to the leaks, unless Melmetal's Double Iron Bash is a teleport move, literally none of these additions will do anything to disrupt Xerneas' reign, and instead make it even harder to counter Xerneas by virtue of scenarios like

That's my experience, at least. It's either fucking 3 people up the ass or getting fucked up the ass by 3 people with no inbetween, but then again, I only play to get the Mega Stones I want and then leave as soon as I rank up, so I usually only play like 2-3 matches per season (except the Greninja one since the requirements were higher).

It's partially because the poison attacks aren't very reliable. Sludge Bomb and Gunk Shot aren't homing attacks. Their projectiles travel in an arc like a thrown grenade, but a bit slower. Even regular pokemon can move out of the way of the attack, so Xerneas can dodge it even easier with the increased movement speed. And even if it does hit, it won't OHKO because Geomancy boosted it's defences.
(Sludge Wave is a ranged attack that originates from the target instead of being a projectile, so it's a lot more reliable, but there's no TM for it. Roserade can't learn it, for example.)

Unless there's actual balance changes to movement speeds and attack animation speeds/range, then we're always going to be stuck in a hell where the best moves are homing attacks that don't have an accuracy check.
I really struggle to understand why GF made a bare bones online component that they didn't balance at all.

Ge checks two pieces of thje meta and soft checks the third while being easier to kill than all three

Primal Kyogre has all around good matchups against restricteds but its physical bulk is not great
Primal Groudon is weak to Ground-types and its special bulk is not great but it deals with Xerneas and Metagross easily
Mega Rayquaza hits like really fucking hard specially since it'll be able to run Life Orb but it loses to Xerneas, Kyogre and it's one-shot vs one-shot against other dragons
Mega Latios/Latias are kinda good against everything not Xerneas though as dragons, they also lose to other dragons
Zeraora will probably be just a meme
Magearna deals with Xerneas and Rayquaza, loses hard to Primal Groudon
Genesect actually looking kino since it only loses to Fire-types and can run Douse Drive Techno Blast to beat Primal Groudon
Meloetta is still crap
Unless Hyperspace Fury gets some OP effect, Hoopa is probably too frail to do anything
Keldeo is kinda okay I guess? Raped by Xerneas though
Marshadow might be good since it's unresisted offensively but it doesn't tank or resist anything basically
I don't think Melmetal will be good in ZA much as it's in mainline

You say that as if running ground type Pokemon isn't mandatory to not get nuked by stuff like Ampharos (damn near everywhere) and light ball Pikachu (kind of rare but nothing to scoff at). Plasma fist might eve ignore ground typing during mega if rumors are be believed.
