>>58704239>>58704193Pyroar is my favorite fire type pokemon. Pokemon that are "just an animal" with elemental powers are some of the best designs in my opinion, and I'm a millennial that has been onboard with the franchise since Red and Blue. I'm not going to argue with you about liking Pyroar, or what Pokemon you like or dislike. But, my point is, that even as someone who genuinely IS a massive Pyroar fan who had him near the top of the list for getting a new mega, Mega Pyroar is absolute fucking dogshit. The only pokemon that I own/use that have mega evolutions that I will go out of my way to never use out of spite are Victreebel and Pyroar, and Pyroar is the worse of the two.
A common criticism of mega pokemon is that they sometimes just get spikier and edgier. While I don't agree with that criticism (sometimes getting spikier and edgier is genuinely an improvement and there's nothing wrong with making a pokemon "cooler") they literally could have done that with Pyroar and it would have been better. If you just gave him bigger teeth and claws and slapped some random spikes on him, it would have been much better than the stupid bullshit they actually did. It's like they made it dogshit intentionally, out of spite.
They should just slap spikes on shit and make it edgier sometimes, if this is the kind of absolute fucking garbage they cook up when they try to "get creative". Meganium has such a safe and bland mega design that people shit on it for that, but at least Mega Meganium isn't subject to GameFreak making it look fucking stupid intentionally to be "creative".
If you can't tell, my patience with this franchise is wearing very thin.
