Volc’s good mostly in spite of its typing, but it’s not the worst typing ever.
Bug/Fire is surprisingly decent offensively, and things like being neutral to Ground are nice, but the sneaky pebbles are literally right there
Changing Volcarona’s type in any way or increasing it’s BST even slightly make it busted beyond belief. GF actually did a really good job balancing Volcarona

Volcarona getting a regional form wouldn't really hurt
Also its paradoxes aren't as strong competitively but that's mostly because they don't get victory/quiver dance respectively, even though it'd be really fun to see them have those
Hell I'd settle for just Dragon Dance for Slither Wing

No way they are making another moth with same type combo, Normal/Flying birds have different designs but a moth is a moth, white and blue hairy butterfly with snowflakes and shit. A special Bug/Ghost using Will o Wisp themed fire or spooky ghost plasma would be a more reasonable take, or some special Bug/Dark.

would say it's in spite of its typing because that statspread + Q.Dance is godly, but Fire Bug is a suspiciously good offensive type that covers a LOT of bases, namely shitstomping Steel types not named Heatran. HP Ground rounds up the coverage to almost boltbeam-tier.

that idea i've seen floating around /vp/ where bugs would be buffed to be immune to hazards in general due to their general reflexes and small size would probably do a lot to make them more worth considering

I mean no shit Volcarona was defined by having a really good setup move
The main reason its paradox forms are worse is because they don't have great setup moves
Not even dragon dance/calm mind

Give them victory/quiver dance (for slither wing/iron moth respectively) and then you'll get stronger paradoxes
But hey it's still better to have paradoxes that are still decent/good even if they don't meet the same standard as the original than to have shitmon paradoxes
