I especially hate the Japanese fandom. In the Western fandom, at least you see criticism, but apparently the japs are incapable of that, so social media is just full of slop, memes, and the lowest form of fanservice for both genders. They'll see a video of Mega Starmie dancing and think it's the funniest thing ever, watch how it gets over 100k likes.
And it's not something unique to Pokémon. Normalfags will claim to be obsessed with something until the hype dies down and they'll forget about it. It's just more noticeable with Pokémon because the story is so mediocre that it doesn't leave much to talk about
