I think people would be more positive about it if it changed color — make it more peach/brown to try and sell the “trying to mask as a human.” For Staraptor, though, I think keeping the color works fairly well. It did change SOME colors, like the feathers (pretty sure they used to match the wings) and the brownish orange marks on top of the wings.
