I'll be honest, it has lot of flaws but I still overall enjoyed the game more than SV.
But not sure if picking the dlc. I mean, it costs half the price of the whole game,

They seem similar but unfortunately, Unova games avoided adressing Entralink and the Dream World despite all exposition in the BW1 intro and being present in the middle of the map. Entralink/Dream World is a dream-like space where multiple Player parallels worlds converge. The NPCs outside Fennel seem to be completely unaware of the Dream World and it seems completely disconnected with the rest of Unova region (despite being right at the center). Now talking about the Hyperspace, it's a space unintentionally created by Darkrai after absorbing Ange's mega power and going rogue. It's a separate reality created through the subconciousness of Lumiose citizens and Pokémon. At some point Hyperspace was merging with reality explaining all weird stuff happening in the DLC and if it left alone it would completely overwrite the real Lumiose. So it's like a metaphysical world molded by the collective subconcious. They seem similar at many points but again, they never expanded into Entralink/Dream World and its place in Unova region.

Did people actually play the DLC before posting?

The dimensions in Z-A are linked to the subconscious because they originate from Darkrai, the Pokémon that embodies nightmares. And we've known since Generation 5 that dreams are a dimension.

However, not all dimensions are dreams, nor are they all linked to them. Dialga and Palkia have their own dimension and control time and space; these are not dreams. The Distortion World is a mirror world and is not linked to dreams. The other Ultra Dimension universes have nothing to do with dreams. The timelines with or without Mega Evolution are not dreams. Terapagos moves things temporally from the past or future of its timeline and/or another timeline. When you go to Hisui in APL, it's not a dream either, and neither is the chaos that creates rifts.

It's quite simple: when a dimension is dreamlike, or linked to dreams, it's explicitly stated, as they did in Z-A, and they connect it to a Pokémon that has real power and a connection to it. There's a reason we distinguish between the "real world" and the subconscious dimension within the game. Because dreams aren't entirely reality.
Whereas another universe represents a different reality, so we're talking about other worlds in relation to our own world.

We have a time machine story, Pokémon from the future and the past, a turtle that, by changing form, seems to age or rejuvenate, and that shifts things in time, potentially causing timelines to collide.
It's all about the theme of time, and nothing explicitly mentions dreams; you're just theorizing.

When Z-A refers to the "real world," it's to imply that the game's dimensions aren't real, because they do indeed stem from the subconscious, as described in the story's dialogue. This treatment never appeared in Gen 4, 6, 7, and 9, despite the dimensional storylines.

Just because characters lose their memories, as happened with Mohn in Ultra Whormholes, or even in APL with the characters from the future who lose theirs, and this phenomenon in Health, doesn't mean it's related to dreams. This seems more like a side effect, used for plot purposes.

Darkrai has themes and powers linked to nightmares, so the dimensions it creates are also nightmare-related.
This isn't the case for Terapagos, Necrozma, and others.

They can interact with reality, which doesn't make them entirely false. But they are still not a real world like an alternate timeline of a universe, or another universe originating from Ultraspace, or even the future and past of a world.

This is precisely why these dream dimensions of Z-A resemble nothing we've ever seen before. We have small fragments of space that are incompletely recreated, with holes in a kind of immense void. And we have a vision of Lumiose City in the sky, as if it were emanating from a consciousness.

It would be funny if one day they decided to create a group of Pokémon that came exclusively from dreams. With physical characteristics, powers, and themes tied to dreams that would be impossible aberrations in the real world, but which could exist in a dream world.
A bit like Ultra Beasts and their interdimensional and extraterrestrial nature, or Paradox Pokémon with their futuristic technology and dinosaurs of the past.

The feeling of having dreamed, and returning to the room, doesn't necessarily mean it was a dream. Especially when the game clearly defines the past, the future, the eras, and the timelines.
The whole point is for them to lose their memories, which creates this dreamlike sensation because dreams are generally unrememberable. If the characters remember everything, the storylines don't happen. This process has already occurred with Looker, Mohn, and Ingo, and it wasn't a dream.

You're being extremely disingenuous; you're in denial. You can't compare that to Z-A, where it's repeatedly explained that the dimension originates from the subconscious, and that when they try to connect them, they're talking about a real world (implying that the other isn't actually real). Not to mention Darkrai, who is the embodiment of nightmares and orchestrates all of this unwittingly. Oh, and nobody lost their memory in Z-A.
You're taking easy shortcuts with confirmation bias.

What I'm asking for are dreamlike beings with powers, names, and themes connected to dreams and nightmares. Bizarre morphologies and biographies that could only exist in dreams. Something more psychedelic.

Nah, since gen 3 actually, that line appeared in Latias and Latios island first, which is why a Devon scientist talks about investigating pokemon dreams and then in gen 5 they expand upon it and Fennel has her research of the dream world, with Burnet also becoming an expert in other dimensions thanks to her role in Pokemon Radar whole dream stuff
Pokémon has consistently depicted the astral plane of dreams as a gateway to other worlds for decades, with Terapagos being the culmination of the concept.

Maybe you are just associating his recent role with the most recent (and current) universe, the mega one? Because that's exactly why SwSh is presumed to be in that universe too. At the end we either assume the most recent games all take place in the most recent universe introduced or it's all baseless headcanon (because "if I don't see it here it doesn't exist" isn't an argument in any way or form)
