Is it possible to save pokemon from a broken save? They've been trapped for 18 years

depends on the degree of brokenness. if you can export the save and read it with a save editor, you can do it. if it's something like a dead gen 1/2 cart battery, it's ogre

Depends on the game. Later entries like xy have already deleted and overwritten the old save by the time the "save data is corrupted" message pops up.

Only on ORAS where you can't even load the game, but I was able to still transfer pokemon to the bank. Sadly I think I lost all the pokemon in my team or just one (celebi).
