I'm 100% certain that Volcanion is one the pokemon that gamefreak genuinely wishes they could just erase. No doubt in my mind, within their walls there have been at least whispers wishing for Volcanion's complete erasure.

The design is not the greatest but as soon as I played XY and knew about a Fire Water Pokémon I was excited, that's one of the sickest type combination.
and seeing the "the steam power plant can't be accessed" made me go "yup, that's definetly volcanion's DLC area"

So when they went full retarded and disregarded him completely (we now know that wasn't even his intended area, but the scrapped south Kalos) I resented them, a thing I'll continue to do up to present day and onward, It's not like I like Volcanoin or care for him I just want there to be justice
