Literally every single problem with modern Pokemon is entirely Ohmori's fault, he took over after Masuda got kicked out of directing (he was saddled up with failures he only worked for in name, as a last fuck you from the spiteful faggots he tardwrangled) and he had no fucking clue he was doing, he completely fucked up the gym leader fights, XY is piss easy because of Ohmori not giving a shit about by his own admission. He complained about Megas not being well handled, which was entirely his fault but he pretends it was actually a problem with the mechanic and then he looked at all the features that made Megas good, removed them and decided to make the atrocity that was Dynamax and to a lesser extent Z-moves. It's clear even Gamefreak hates him considering they also decided to kick him out, but he's still going to handle gen 10 and it's literally Alola 2.0, with the same sappy and shitty le hecking family drama type story.
Oh also, we just learned via the last round of Teraleak documents that Gamefreak has been using AI for their designs for quite a while now, and they fully intend on using it even more for gen 10.
