Are you actually God and fighting alongside the church for the whole game?
There's no corrupt official who has secretly been working for a demon? No reveal that the pope is actually working for the Devil? No third act twist where you find out the church has been funded by genocidal monsters and the enemy is actually the good guy?
I've played my fair share of JRPG over the years and I'm actively having a hard time remembering a single one of them where God and the godly are the good guys from start to finish.
