I never understood Darkrais original design. Mostly the issue is the red choker.

As for the mega, the eyeball is a great direction. The execution was poor. They should have just committed to the eyeball thing and not included the retracting head. I fully expected mega Darkrai to instead wield a red scythe like Skeith from .hack// though.

My main problems are
>red collar and blue eye gone which broke up the otherwise boring color palette
>head/body ratio being really exaggerated
>the hair bangs making it look disheveled and dirty, not edgy
