Furthermore, there is no reason I can think of besides "brand synergy" that would require Megas to be an all or nothing ordeal. Though GF is retarded, I at least would be alright with them making the dex with no regard to Megas, new or old, deciding if they want Megas in the region afterwarss, and if so, just adding the stones for the Mons in-game, with new Megas as a maybe. They didn't introduce any new ones in SM, despite adding the stones for the old ones.
TLDR: They can, they don't have to, and I'd like them to have Megas be an addition and not a base constant for a dex.
