In retrospect, I'm glad Pokémon didn't add amiibo functionality to the core titles, but it would've made for cool physical Mystery Gifts like the e-Reader cards.

i doubt gamefreak would care enough to do this but having different (original) songs for the different sectors in an update would be great. second option would be radio with stations for each region and maybe some season-based stations

the designs of the new pokemon including megas were peak. Easily in my top 3 pokedexes, might be #1 but I'd have to think about it.
The ideas of the locations but not the execution were peak.
Some competitive changes and easier shiny hunting were nice.
