The new style of combat is a lot more fun for an ingame playthrough than the typical turn-based affair, although I think the strategy of turn-based battles is better for something like a battle facility where there’s actual challenge (as if we’re getting one of those again lmao), no postgame is once again an issue.
The DLC is also pretty fun and I enjoy the gameplay loop there. Haven’t finished it though because I’ve been shiny hunting something over the last few days.
Granted I’m playing on Switch 2 and happened to get the game for basically free excluding the DLC so my opinion would probably be different if I were locked at 30 FPS or paid a pretty penny for the game.
Solid 6.5/10, easily the best in the Switch era which is something. Actually manages to give me a sliver of hope for Gen 10.
