Mewtwo Strikes back is not nearly as bad as cringe critics make it out to be. Sure, it's corny and there are some pacing issues. On the other hand, objectively speaking, the film does a great job with it's atmosphere.
Also I am just gonna say it, the American version has a waaay better soundtrack. I don't care that it has fucking Brittney Spears and Ayay-ron Carter, the actual instrumental score is great and truly elevates certain scenes.
Like the moment where amber fades away during the origin segment that got cut from the theatrical version!
Or when Ash gets revived by the Pokémon tears and Mewtwo, Mew and the clones fly away to triumphantly pile up into a steaming sex mountain.
