EVERYONE had the exact same feeling/response in older games when they saw a tiny shrub that needed to be CUT down and thought, "I have slash, why can't I just use that?"
ZA Did exactly that and it was intuitive. Slash, psycho cut, night slash, leaf blade, razor leaf, X-Scissor all can cut down thorn brambles. We already have such distinctions like moves iron fist boosting punch moves and strong jaw boosting bite moves.
