Yes just because I want to see where it takes the series, I've already lost faith in its integrity after Gen 8 so enjoy the series as slop instead. Gen 10 being based on the slums of SEA is a major disappointment though; what a weird choice to commemorate such an important milestone (though it's exactly what I expect of the franchise now).

Literally impossible, they have an entire board of advisors who come in and go "nope, this is problematic for a global audience, adjust this" they often listen to. Pokemon doesn't want controversy, because to this very day it's STILL feeling the stings of Porygon, Jynx and Kadabra from way back when.

They can't fix it instantly in the moment, but your example is one they course corrected as soon as they could after Gen 7 ended.
Gumshoos was completely absent from Gen 8, hasn't made any anime appearances since Gen 7, hasn't made any spinoff game appearances aside from Rumble Rush, Shuffle and Masters EX, and its post-Gen 7 TCG appearances haven't been particularly marketed, and now that we're back to bullshit ever since Trump's re-election, I wouldn't be surprised if Gumshoos is absent for all of Gen 10, especially with all of the political drama regarding the Epstein Files and how easy it'd be to slapdash Gumshoos together with the pre-existing pedo and rapist jokes from the internal folklore short stories the Teraleak showed us.

Next time it could be something no one would think is a controversy until it became one sometime between its reveal and the game's release. Something that'll be a very bad look for the game if they don't make drastic changes before release.
