BW2 Key System Help

I can't find any definitive answer online. I have one cartridge of White 2 and Black 2. If I unlocked Challenge Mode on Black 2, transfer the key to White 2, am I able to still transfer Challenge mode back to Black 2 when I start a new game? Or do I need a second Black 2 cartridge?

won't white 2 only be able to transfer the easy key, and that's after you beat it?

I'm mainly asking if the version you unlock said key in is the only one able to send said keys and not ones it receives as well

You need two Black 2 copies then
Being a Japanese game, the Key System was made with social interaction in mind. So nip kids would easily find someone that has unlocked the keys

Challenge mode is actually easier than the normal game.

You make more exp in challenge mode, but the stats of the CPU aren't adjusted to their levels, because gf is retarded. So you basically end up with more exp and higher level making the run even easier.

The way the key system works is kind of convoluted and was implemented in a really shitty, perfectly Game Freak way. Long story short, yes, to get challenge mode on B2 before the credits, you need a second cart with a complete save. Black 2 keys can only be distributed by Black 2, and White 2 keys can only be distributed by White 2. The idea is that you connect the two versions, swap keys, and now you have them all in one version and can freely swap difficulty modes/facilities/regi chambers on that save. My best advice if you can't find another copy of Black 2 to do it with is to either get an R4 and a completed save file and just move it over like that, or just play hard mode on White 2.

I'm not a nip (and thus have never actually used the link feature) so I can't say for sure, but yeah I'm pretty sure you would need a second Black 2 copy to send Challenge mode to a new Black 2 save file
