Let's Go is fun to play and looks and feels polished. It annoys how me how low the bar is for pokemon games and how much potential sits on the table especially especially with their budget. Though jrpg has unironically always been a garbage genre for 99% of games anyway, its like the one thing they miserably fail at and get absolutely mogged by the west

It's a good Pokemon game. The cutscenes like the dead Marowak and the ending added to the experience, and the battles are harder than the originals and FRLG.

My main issue with it is how you need to catch 50 Pokemon for Koga's gym, and how they give exp. It makes the game less challenging and repeat playthroughs less palatable.

I picked these up and I cannot get over how fresh, and nostalgic, and just genuinely enjoyable this is. What the fuck has Gamefreak been doing this past decade. I haven't liked mainline since XY. Lets Go Pikachu, that brought be back, at least for this one off.

LGPE is probably my favorite Pokemon game. I paly it on Nintendo Switch Lite (so, obviously in handheld mode).

But I recently got a new laptop and I want to try LGPE on my laptop too. Any tips, guys? I heard that it's kinda hard make it work with a controller, I hope that's not true. Also, should I choose Ryujinx or Yuzu or some other emulator?

I've never emulated a Switch game, so I'm completely clueless.

You have to use Ryujinx to start the game, because Yuzu crashes when having to name something. You generally never have to name anything, but you do have to name your character at the start. After you have a save file beyond that point the rest of the game is fine, playing like handheld mode on the console.
