GS wouldn't have even released in the first place if Masuda never came in because Tajiri had a meltdown over failing to meet his personal deadline and completely abandoned the project, leading GameFreak to their own inept devices.
Pokemon would've died a dog's death and none of the good things you'd know after RGBY would exist, hell it probably wouldn't have even been localized so you wouldn't know Pokemon existed, period, unless you were one of those dedicated 90's weeaboos who had a contact in Japan who could help you import that shit.

There's about 60-80 Pokemon after GSC that are actually good, and Voltorb and Electrode should ALWAYS have been Hisuan forms. The Orre Region from the GameCube games should have been the final region, the Hoenn triad and Jirachi can exist, but not the other post-GSC legendaries, aside from the Galar form birds. There can be some "form" Pokemon but maybe only like a dozen, and it should be a different mechanic, like they develop differently in where they are caught or evolved, like Exeggutor. The ROMhack of Orange Islands should be canon. Crystal and Pokemon Collusieum (with my autistic changes) should have been the last Pokemon games ever made.

It wasn’t Masuda’s fault. Most of game freak didn’t even want to be there an weee too busy slacking off and intentionally dragging their feet, not helping was Tajiri couldn’t handle game freak shitting all over his vision and being lazy idiots so he understandably abandoned game freak. Masuda stepped up to the helm and did the best he could but game freak keep self sabotaging out of spite

The PokeRap wasn't "there's 150 plus one more to see", it was "there's 150 AND more to see". Ho-Oh, Togepi, Donphan, etc. were all kept in the anime because they wanted to get the American kiddins hyped for the implied wider world of Pokemon, which would segue into its sequel being made known.

If Nintendo didn't rerail shit for the DS/Wii era, Pokemon's success or sequels wouldn't have mattered. Franchise would've died in Gen III

Yeah, we can see that idea implemented in some beta sprite work, when they were still using Yellow's pallet. Espeon and Sunflora were originally yellow and harshly lit. Prior to it evolving with Sun Stone, beta Belossom used the Poison Stone and has the same nocturnal pallet as beta Spinirak and Umbreon.

Just adds a lot of workload. They already had shinies and made alt sprites for Silver. For Crystal the opted to use the extra time and make animated sprites, likely as a way of flexing Crystal's increased RAM
